Pizza & Bingo Night

Join us for a fun evening of Pizza and Bingo in Paine Hall.

The price is $10 per ticket. This includes 6 Bingo cards, pizza, salad, and water/tea. Free will donations will be accepted for libations. Extra Bingo Cards can be purchased: 2 cards for $1.

Tickets will be sold after the 9am services on Sundays June 14 and 21 and in the Church Office during normal business hours.

US 250 Year Celebration

We celebrate 250 years of the United States of America, marking the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence of America. The milestone is being observed with extensive, multi-day celebrations, historic displays, and educational programs nationwide.

The core of the official national celebration is taking place over the July 4 week (July 3–5) with massive parades, concerts, and gatherings.

This anniversary is truly a blessing to celebrate.

St. Mary’s Food Bank is doing everything possible to make sure families facing hunger have access to nutritious food. Every $1 you donate provides 5 meals.

With summer coming, we see an increased demand for food because of schools off and a drop-off of donations. Please clean out your cupboards!

Please help with your canned and dry foods, though any food item is welcome (please, no glass).

Helping Hands

The purpose of this Ministry is to make and deliver blankets and pillows for abused, homeless, or otherwise needy children and others, as well as to provide fellowship for the women and service to the community. The group meets the first three Mondays of the month from 8:30 to 11:30 am in Paine Hall.

Happy Hat Hookers

4th (and 5th, if there is one) Mondays of month

Join us on the 4th Mondays of every month (and 5th, if there is one) to make hats on a loom. The hats are donated to military for under their helmets, to people going through chemo (head gets very cold), to homeless, and to babies.

It’s a wonderful way to donate your talents for good causes and enjoy good camraderie.
All volunteers are welcome!

Women’s Weight Management

Join this group of motivated folks who choose to lose. This group offers great support in your struggle to lose weight. And it pays to lose; the biggest loser each week wins $3; second biggest loser wins $2; third biggest loser wins $1.

We also share ideas about good nutrition and food to help you achieve your goals.

The cost per person is $3 a week. Pay at the class. Come and give us a try!

Brotherhood of St. Andrew

The Brotherhood of St. Andrew is a worldwide ministry with over 4,000 members in 357 chapters in the US alone. This Advent Chapter meets monthly to gather in prayer for the spread of Christ’s Kingdom, to study the Holy Scriptures, and to bring others nearer to Christ through outreach in the community.

The group meets monthly, September through June.
All men of Advent are welcome.

EfM Class

Do you have questions about your faith? Education for Ministry (EfM) is a course of study providing the framework to connect faith to your daily life through reading and discussion.

The curriculum encompasses EFM Classic, a 4-year program.

This self study program has no tests, no quizes. The group meets once a week Fall through Spring. Open invitation to Advent parishioners to attend; participants must purchase their own book.

Daughters of the King (DOK) is an active group who
meets monthly, September through May.

They are the St Clare of Assisi Chapter with 31
members, an exceptionally large chapter, especially for
a small parish.
